Featuring Hermosa Clarinet Ensemble
The Hermosa Clarinet Ensemble is made up of four friends who are also accomplished clarinet players. They share a love of music and performing and began discussing forming an ensemble while playing together in the Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra. Kaye Royer is principal clarinet there and her husband Ron is the music director. Barbara Newman holds the position of second clarinet with the SPO. Katherine Carleton is the orchestra’s bass clarinet player and Daniel Hasznos often joins the section. These players enjoy the Scarborough Philharmonic’s high artistic standard and its connection to community and the joy of bringing more music to the world. The unity of an ensemble made up entirely of clarinets is a dynamic and exciting sound experience and they also love the fun and diverse repertoire. They hope you will enjoy this quartet of clarinets!
