The Main Hall

The Main Hall at the Stained Glass Centre for the Performing Arts (SGC) is a proscenium stage with fully functioning sound, lighting, and video systems suitable for intimate theatrical presentations as well as conferences, concerts, dance, film and theatre festivals, recitals, and/or corporate events.

Please note that this list is not exhaustive and is meant only as a guideline; please refer to your rental agreement for further details about available services and breakdown of costs. Prices & services are subject to change. Renters may be required to pay a deposit to secure their dates.

Services Included in Rental Fees:

Basic AV equipment, Lights, 1 Hand held microphone, sound board, stage box and stage risers.

Use of 2 Green Rooms, Kitchen available for basic needs but subject additional fees depending on usage.

1 Front of house staff from SGC

Additional Services Available:

• Board Operation: $40/hour, Minimum 3 hours per performance, per technician. Live sound mixing is subject to additional fees.

• Addition AV Equipment available : Equipment List

• Sound or Lighting Design services are separate contracts outside of SGC, and arrangements must be made in advance of the rental with SGC Technicians to determine costs.

• Additional Technical Staff: $35 /hour, if determined as necessary by SGC Technical Staff.

• Overtime rates: $40/hour for SGC Technical Staff

• Working on Statutory Holidays: As per Ontario Labour Standards, employees are entitled to receive wages 1.5 times their regular rate for the hours worked on the holiday.

•Additional function room available for bar services/ concessions and merchandise

 Capacity 288 standing.

• Piano Tuning: $125 (optional)

• Live Streaming: $200 (single wide shot), $300 (multi camera shot)

Entandem Fees: The Renter agrees to pay Entandem (formerly, SOCAN) license fees dependent on the type of show/event. SGC will be responsible to remit Entandem fees for Renter’s performances. All fees are subject to HST.
